Eroticism and Religion Meet (and Get Along) in a Breathtaking
World War II Romance

Star-crossed lovers, treacherous wartime flights, and Glynn Compton Harper’s writing genius combine to make Arise Beloved the next great WWII saga

SAN AUGUSTINE, TEXAS – A complex World War II love story by Glynn Compton Harper, Arise Beloved delves into wartime intrigue of love, betrayal, and loss. Harper expertly interweaves eroticism and issues of mid-century feminism, homosexuality in the military, and religious hypocrisy certain to capture the attention of World War II buffs and fiction lovers in general.

The action in Arise Beloved never flags, nor is there any shortage of intelligent and dynamic dialogue. Harper’s separated lovers, Becky Bright and Troy McNutt  are both pilots. During the war, Becky becomes a Woman AirForce Service Pilot in the famed WASPs of WWII and makes a treasonous POW exchange with Nazis, and Troy survives combat in the South Pacific. Harper’s comparison of human and divine love is slowly revealed as the lovers are reunited on the other side of infidelity and personal failure.

Thrilling and multifaceted, Arise Beloved contains all the timeless elements of a great novel. Harper writes with a passion and instinct for his characters that all authors of genius possess.
