Arise is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based out of Steubenville, OH that exists to serve the unmet needs of the Ohio valley community. Our name comes from a passage in Sacred Scripture:

"My beloved speaks and says to me: ‘Arise, my love, my beautiful one, and come away; for now the winter is past, the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth; the time of singing has come...” - Song of Songs 2:10-12

Every person is made in the image and likeness of God; and every person is deeply and profoundly desired by God. Arise seeks to manifest God’s infinite love for every human person by emboldening the Body of Christ to love one another as Christ has loved us.
